Hello and a warm welcome to the Mudhutter blog. Probably should have posted this a week ago, if we’re honest, before the latest weekly storm in a teacup. In fairness, this has always been here, but as we approach our 90th issue and, with what seems like several months between home games to actually sell our fanzines at, we decided to take a bit more of our content online and embrace this new “online” world people talk about. We hear that it is a wonderful environment of instant communication, where highly intelligent and supportive people collaborate on all manner of things to make the world a better place!!
Yeah, whatever. This is us, doing our bit, trying to be a bit more regular, without consuming a bucket of prunes and building the community within which our long-standing fanzine is our pride and joy.
What you can expect to see on here is news, regular opinion pieces, great articles from the archives, fanzine updates and the return of our FREE digital fanzines. There’s a few copies here already to download if you so wish….
Over time, we’ll be sharing more ways in which we can get social, and who knows, maybe a few events and gatherings, just like we used to. We have been heavily reliant on X / Twitter to grow our following and subscriber list to the print magazine over recent years, and we are indebted to everyone who supports us in some way. It feels like the time has come where we need to look at other avenues, given the volatility around the aforementioned platform. It doesn’t mean we’re going to leave it, we just need a back up plan, and to start building on alternative platforms, ready for when that nutjob pulls his next daft stunt and makes us pay in bitcoin to use it. I mean, as anyone who buys a fanzine off us knows, we’ve barely got to grips with debit cards yet.
See you soon, fellow ruminators
